Library Item Consideration/Challenge
General:
The trustees of the Newburg Public Library realize that a public library may need consideration of a new item, or that items currently available may pose concern for patrons. Should a patron desire changes to Newburg Public Library items in the collection, please fill out the form below. Form can be brought to the next Library Board meeting or placed in an envelope in the library inbox.
A schedule of Library Trustee meetings can be accessed through contact at Newburg City Hall (573) 456-2002. Library Board meetings are also posted on the Bulletin Board in front of the Newburg City Municipal Building and are also posted on the Newburg Public Library website at at: https://newburg.ploud.net/
Challenges:
Any Parent or Guardian of a minor within the library district may dispute or challenge the library’s age appropriate designation affixed to any material presentation, event, or display in the Library.
The results of any such dispute or challenge shall be disclosed to the public by Library posted notice and published on the Library’s website as developed (Challengers name will not be published). Challenges shall be presented to the Library Board of Trustees in meeting.
